LINDA WALLACE
your guide in Yellowstone Country

Since 1970, I have spent most every summer in and around Yellowstone National Park. Until 1998, I was a Californian during the rest of the year. Since then I have made Yellowstone a year-round experience and reside in Bozeman, Montana. Maintaining a summer home west of the park since 1974, I've spent many a summer immersed in study of the flora of Yellowstone. My interest in plant life has led me to many destinations in the area and the study of other pieces of the ecosystem. I've developed a keen eye for wildlife observation and have become an avid bird watcher.

As a volunteer with Yellowstone (and Yosemite) natural resource managers during the summers, I've worked on eradication of non-native plants in the parks. This experience has added much to my knowledge of the flora and fauna, as well as put me on miles of trails and I've come to know many of the people who live and work inside Yellowstone. Away but not far from the hustle and bustle of park roads and crowds, I can take you to see some of my favorite haunts and quiet places.

After acting informally as a guide to Americans and Europeans for many years, I've taken up guiding in Yellowstone as my next career. Combining my people skills --developed on-the-job in alumni and government relations for the University of California--with my passion for the Yellowstone area, I offer personable and knowledgeable service as your guide.

I hope you will choose Yellowstone Country Adventures and give me the opportunity to share with you the magic I've discovered in this amazing part of the world I call home!

Pika is the smallest member of the rabbit family. She is also called a rock rabbit or "little chief hare". She lives mostly near timberline in rocky areas and can be seen scurrying about collecting grasses and wildflowers which she dries in haystacks for winter meals.
